With the increasingly serious environmental pollution, people are worried about the deterioration of the environment, and environmental problems arise accordingly. "Among them, how to solve the problem of white waste pollution has been put on the agenda. One of the effective ways to solve "white pollution" is to use biodegradable plastics, which are encouraged in developed countries and regions such as the European Union. For example, Italy requires disposable plastic bags, while Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and other countries have developed tax incentives to encourage the use of biodegradable plastics. Recently, it has been reported that the EU intends to ban the use of traditional plastic bags throughout the EU, which increases the publicity of biodegradable packaging products, and will undoubtedly bring new opportunities for the development of biodegradable plastics, thus promoting the rapid development of the biodegradable plastics industry.
The so-called biodegradable plastics refer to a kind of macromolecule material which can be degraded by bacteria, fungi, algae and other microorganisms in a certain external environment and a certain time. Degradable plastics are an effective way to deal with "white pollution". "White pollution" refers to the environmental pollution caused by discarding agricultural film, packaging plastic film, plastic bags and disposable plastic tableware at will. China is one of the largest producers and consumers of plastic products in the world. White pollution is becoming more and more serious. "White pollution" will lead to long-term serious ecological and environmental problems. For example, the mixing of waste agricultural film into soil will cause soil consolidation, affect the absorption of nutrients and water by crops, and lead to crop yield reduction; waste plastic packaging discarded in the field may be swallowed by animals as food, leading to animal death.
Although the "Renewable Energy Law" promulgated in China clearly encourages the use of renewable biomass energy and the promotion and application of degradable plastics, there is no specific support policy for the industry at present, and the domestic market for biodegradable plastics has been delayed due to the lack of support policies. Most biodegradable materials of domestic enterprises are mainly exported, and the market is not conducive to the sustained and healthy development of the industry. However, this phenomenon is expected to change this year, according to relevant media reports, domestic support policies related to plastic degradation are expected to be introduced in the second half of the year. Planning support targets include biological substrates, fully degradable materials, etc. Support means include VAT rebate, tax relief, key project procurement, etc. If the relevant policies are introduced smoothly, it will also bring great impetus to the development of domestic degradable plastics industry. At the same time, with the progress of production technology and large-scale effect, the production cost of biodegradable plastic bags may be moderately reduced in the next few years, and the lowest price may be reduced to the same price as traditional plastics, thus promoting the application of biodegradable materials in China.
